We hope you are as excited as we are to create this legacy for the Class of ‘73. It was our privilege and pleasure to present an LHS Class of '73 check for $1000 during the Ledyard High School Awards Night on Tuesday June, 6, 2023. Wouldn't it be great if we can someday give more?

 

 CURRENT  FUNDRAISING EFFORTS

Our fundraising goal for June 6, 2023 was to reach $5000 so we would have five years worth of giving set aside. Our larger goal is to reach $25,000 to create a perpetual fund that would yield the yearly award. We originally created a Gofundme page and were overcome by the generosity of giving, including two $1000 matching gifts from an anonymous donor.

 

SILENT AUCTION

As part of our Reunion festivities, we had a Silent Auction to further support the scholarship fund.  Several classmates donated items and hand made some gorgeous items.  Our Silent Auction yielded a whopping $1876!!!

After the 50th Reunion, more donations poured in from happy attendees and from those who couldn't make it.

SCHOLARSHIP STEERING CREW

John Dunham has organized a new crew dedicated to Scholarship fundraising.  So far, they have created a

matching donation program along with benefactor Ed Neely who donated a $2000 matching donation promotion to boost our fund by $4000!!!!

​

John has been working diligently on this project and was able to bring along our Scholarship fund into a 501(3)(C) tax deductible status.  In addition, he has created a dedicated website that now enables donors to process their donation directly through the website without having to go through Pay Pal or GoFundMe.
